Hartford managed care provider Aetna Inc.'s concierge customer service call center in High Point, N.C., has been has been recognized by J.D. Power and Associates.
Power audited the service and conducted a random survey of Aetna customers before certifying the call center under its 2009 Call Center Certification Program.
"Earning the J.D. Power and Associates certification is a strong independent testament to Aetna's latest innovation in customer service," said Frank Cobbin, senior vice president of Aetna service operations.
As of Jan. 1, Aetna said more than 700,000 members will be serviced under the concierge service model. Aetna recently added a second full-service concierge operation in New Albany, Ohio.
