Bridgeport incubator seeks tech tenants

08/25/10

The state's technology promotion arm and the University of Bridgeport are soliciting startups for its new technology incubator at its Fairfield County campus.

The newly formed CTech IncUBator@University of Bridgeport has 2,400 square feet available at 250 Myrtle Ave. for up to six startups involved in commercializing information technology, digital media, advanced materials and clean technology, said Charlie Moret, managing director, business development, for Connecticut Innovations Inc.

Connecticut Innovations (CI) is the quasi-public agency involved in promoting and funding technology startups.

Businesses involved in science, technology, engineering and math also will be considered, according to an online and e-mail flyer touting the incubator.

The incubator is a collaboration between the university, CI and United Illuminating Co.
