Connecticut Light & Power Co. said today commercial and industrial last resort service customers will see rates cut 10 percent for the fourth quarter.

The utility said the reduction does not apply to rates for CL&P's 1.2 million residential and streetlight customers, and commercial and industrial customers with peak demand under 500 kilowatts monthly.

Rates for those customers will be adjusted later this year, to take effect Jan. 1, 2009, CL&P said.
