Cigna Corp. President and Chief Operating Officer David M. Cordani will be named CEO, replacing Chairman and CEO H. Edward Hanway, who will retire at the end of 2009.
The managed care company, which has major operations in Bloomfield, made the announcement last week.
The 57-year-old Hanway has served as chairman and CEO since 2000. Isaiah “Ike” Harris Jr. becomes non-executive chairman Jan. 1.
