2021 40 Under Forty: Cassie Voegeli Wildman

Cassie Wildman, CPA, MBA is currently CFO of Lux Bond and Green, a 123-year-old retailer of luxury jewelry, watches and giftware. Growing up in a small family business, she has a passion for the private sector.

Wildman began her public accounting career auditing at BlumShapiro, continuing at Del Conte Hyde Annello & Schuch with a focus on tax work before transitioning to Joseph Merritt & Company as VP and CFO.

Connecticut born and raised, graduated from Quinnipiac University in Hamden, and continued my career in the greater Hartford area.

Involved with the Hartford Young Professionals and Entrepreneurs and the MetroHartford Alliance.

Successfully led Lux Bond & Green through a pandemic in my first year with the company.

Went from staff accountant to CFO in less than 10 years and am the youngest CFO in the company’s history.

What’s been your biggest professional/work accomplishment so far in your career?

I led the company through a government-mandated shutdown by securing PPP funding, pivoting to e-commerce and virtual meetings and upgrading various technologies. In the middle of it all, I assisted with a large-scale store renovation, managed multiple insurance claims, recorded the most successful physical inventory in company history and had a baby.
