Islam Mosa is the co-founder and CTO of VoltXon Inc, a company commercializing an energy harvesting and sensing technology. VoltXon works alongside leading U.S. companies to create products for autonomous electric vehicles, smart buildings and medical devices.
VoltXon’s technology is a spin-off of Mosa’s research at the lab of Professor James Rusling at the University of Connecticut. VoltXon has received two non-dilutive grants to finalize its product line and start mass manufacturing.

What’s been your biggest professional/work accomplishment so far in your career?
The decision of moving our energy technology from the lab bench at UConn to the market by starting VoltXon Inc is my biggest career accomplishment. VoltXon is supported by a well-experienced team including CEO Mark Smith, COO Esraa Elsanadidy, advisor James Rusling and many wonderful mentors at UConn.
