What’s been your biggest professional accomplishment so far in your career?
My biggest professional achievement was completing my master’s degree in educational technology. I started it while in my fifth year at CCSU and wasn’t sure I would complete it. However, through the support of family and friends, I completed this degree with Summa Cum Laude honors. The practical knowledge that I gained during this experience is still used on a daily basis.
How are you involved in the community?
My work in the community is based within my work at the CT Diamond Club. Each year, I work with more than 200 athletes to help them achieve their goals on and off the field. Whether I’m tutoring an athlete before practice, explaining an advanced hitting concept or drawing out plays on a whiteboard for kids, I live for that moment when they ‘get it.’
What do you like to do outside of work?
If I am not working on the Diamond Club or work, you can find me reading, doing impossible jigsaw puzzles or catching a Broadway show. There is nothing better than a live musical!
Why do you deserve to be a 40 Under Forty?
• Founded CT Diamond Club and successfully grew to physical capacity.
• Awarded NWN Carousel Achiever’s Club.
• Placed athletes at schools in line with their academic goals.
• Manage 11 high-performing softball teams within state.
Fun Fact
One of my favorite things to do is read amazing books out loud and attempt to do the voices.
Theme Song
If you had a theme song, what would it be?
“85” – Andy Grammar
Bucket List
What are two things that you would like to achieve before you turn 40?
I’d like to see my 2023 graduates all placed in college. They were the first class that came through the Diamond Club so that would really bring things full circle. Also, I want to buy a boat and start writing a novel.
