Leisl Cording started her career in wealth management after graduating from Quinnipiac. Cording became a certified financial planner in 2016, and a certified divorce financial analyst in 2022.
She worked at two Hartford wealth management firms, helping manage high net worth clients with assets under management ranging from $1 million up to $1 billion. In her current firm, she is responsible for assets under management over $100 million. She was awarded the Five Star Wealth Manager Award in 2021 and 2022.

What’s been your biggest professional accomplishment so far in your career?
I helped our team grow client assets under management by double-digits each year since joining Weiss, Hale & Zahansky.
How are you involved in the community?
I am a member of the Board of Trustees for The Woodstock Academy, serve on the Board of Directors for The WA Foundation and am secretary for The Quasset Cemetery Association. I also serve as volunteer coordinator for Putnam Business Association’s Fire & Ice event and am head coach for NECONN United.
What do you like to do outside of work?
I enjoy playing golf with my fiancé, Josh. I also enjoy running and am most proud of completing my first marathon in 2021. I enjoy traveling with my family and hope to visit all 50 states before turning 50. I also love coaching and playing soccer.
Why do you deserve to be a 40 Under Forty?
• Currently managing client relationships with over $100 million in total assets under management.
• First non-partner advisor at Weiss, Hale & Zahansky to help our company achieve double-digit annual growth in assets under management since joining in 2019.
• Serve on several boards and community initiatives that help our community to live well.
• Obtained two designations over the last several years, Certified Financial Planner and Certified Divorce Financial Analyst, which help me to better meet client needs.

I played Division 1 soccer at Quinnipiac University with my twin, Kate.
