Andrew Garza and Ryan McKeen are first-generation lawyers with a common goal: to help and empower those who have been wrongfully injured or killed. Connecticut Trial Firm aims to lift some of their clients’ burden and guide them through a complicated process so that they can find the healing they deserve.
Tell us a bit about your recent accomplishments.
Connecticut Trial Firm was recently named the third Best Place to Work in CT by the Hartford Business Journal and has been named to the Inc. 5000 list as one of the fastest-growing companies in the nation. In 2022, CT Trial Firm won a $100 million jury verdict for its client, the highest bodily injury verdict in state history.
Andrew Garza was named Trial Lawyer of the Year by Keenan Trial Institute and has joined Ryan McKeen on the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum. Most importantly, we have been able to give back to the community through the Connecticut Trial Firm Foundation, including awarding scholarships to first-generation college students, buying school supplies for teachers, sending children to camp and providing bike helmets to children to promote bike safety.
What are your family values and how do they contribute to your business success?
Both Ryan and Andrew come from families of hardworking parents who strived to provide their children with more than they had while also instilling in us the value of hard work. We both started working at an early age as paperboys and have been working toward success in business ever since. We feel strongly that running a business, much like raising a family, should be led with empathy, compassion, honesty and transparency.
Where do you see your business in the next five years?
Connecticut Trial Firm plans to continue its growth with more locations across the state (current locations are in Glastonbury, Enfield and Norwich) and adding more team members to be able to provide the best service possible to our expanding number of clients. Connecticut Trial Firm Foundation hopes to expand its charitable work to reach as many people as possible.
What are your guiding business principles?
Connecticut Trial Firm believes an organization is a machine consisting of two parts: culture and people. We believe that great organizations have both great people and great culture.
Great people have both great character and great capabilities.
Great cultures bring problems and disagreements to the surface and solve them. We love imagining and building great things that have not been built before.
