Moy Ogilvie is a leader inside and outside of her law firm.
She is the Hartford office managing partner of McCarter & English, one of the largest law firms in Connecticut with about 42 attorneys. She’s also a member of the Connecticut Business & Industry Association’s board of directors, giving her a key role in helping shape pro-business policies at the state Capitol.
Ogilvie was named managing partner of McCarter & English’s Hartford office in 2018, but held leadership roles before that. She was appointed the firm’s diversity and inclusion partner in 2017, in charge of coordinating and overseeing initiatives aimed at recruiting, promoting and retaining women and diverse lawyers.
Ogilvie is also a prominent speaker and has taken part in many forums and lectures. She has been active with the Connecticut Bar Association, George W. Crawford Black Bar Association, Connecticut Judicial Branch’s Access to Justice Commission, and the Lawyers Collaborative for Diversity.
Her areas of practice include commercial litigation, representing clients in toxic tort and product liability cases.
Recently, she announced the hiring of longtime state Senate Democrat Chief of Staff Vincent Mauro Jr. to lead an expansion of the firm’s national Government Affairs practice in Hartford.
