$5K grant will help N.Britain at-risk students

Berkshire Bank Foundation awarded a $5,000 grant to Klingberg Family Centers to support a vocational education program for special needs and at-risk students attending Raymond Hill School in New Britain.

Simsbury Bank recently gave a $10,000 presenting sponsor donation to Hill-Stead Museum's 2017 May Market. The Market annually features more than 60 exhibitors encompassing gardening, art and home goods. The Marriott Hartford Downtown recently presented two checks for $1,250 to both Hartford Youth Scholars and Mercy Housing and Shelter Corp.

Hartford Youth Scholars helps prepare Hartford middle school students for high school and college. Mercy Housing and Shelter Corp. provides housing assistance and supportive services to those who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.
