New England’s first 7 Brew Drive Thru Coffee site will open in Wallingford on Monday, Sept. 9.
Drive Thru Brew LLC, the company that owns the Wallingford location for Arkansas-based franchisor 7 Brew, also announced this week that it expects to open a second location, at 35 Talcottville Road in Vernon, by the end of the year. That location formerly was the site of a Denny’s Restaurant.
7 Brew started in Fayetteville, Arkansas, in 2018 has since grown dramatically, adding its 100th coffee “stand” in June 2023. The Wallingford and Vernon locations are the company’s first two in New England.
Its menu boasts over 20,000 drink combinations, including coffees, teas, energy drinks, fizz drinks, chillers and smoothies.
Construction at 905 North Colony Road (Route 5) in Wallingford was recently completed. It included demolishing an existing building that was home to the Captain Seas restaurant and clearing the site. 7 Brew then trucked in and installed its new 510-square-foot prefabricated building at the site in July.
Drive Thru Brew said it has hired 50 employees for the Wallingford stand, and that operating hours will be from 5:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.
In advance of the opening, Sharon Parmar, who co-owns the franchise with her husband, Manraj Parmar, and Rohan and Kiran Kapoor, said staff delivered 10,000 free drinks to the Wallingford community over the past week. Deliveries were made to hospitals, schools and car dealerships, she said.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held on Sept. 10 at 11 a.m., with Wallingford Mayor Vincent Cervoni expected to attend. That will be followed by a grand-opening celebration on Sept. 21, Parmar said.
