A Bridgeport industrial property along the Pequonnock River has been sold to a portable restroom and toilet trailer company.
The 135 East Washington Ave. building was sold by the trust of Peter G Standish to A Royal Flush Inc., for $1.4 million in a deal recorded June 3.
The property features a 13,176-square-foot, free-standing industrial building on 2 acres along the waterfront, minutes from the Route 8/25 Connector, Route 1, and the Bridgeport Metro-North train station.
Also nearby about a mile away is the new Steelpointe Harbor redevelopment project.
The industrial building has clear-span construction with a 16.5-foot ceiling height, skylights, three drive-in doors, and 800 square feet of office space.
"This transaction highlights the continued demand for well-located industrial properties in Bridgeport," said Jon Angel, president of Southport-based Angel Commercial, who acted as the sole broker in the deal.
A Royal Flush is a family-owned and operated portable restroom and toilet trailer company that has been servicing the Northeast for more than 30 years, and more recently expanded into South Carolina and Florida, Angel said.
