The Hartford Yard Goats on Wednesday announced the team’s 2023 promotional schedule, with just eight weeks until opening day at downtown Hartford’s Dunkin’ Park.
The team’s 68-game home schedule is filled with numerous promotional and theme nights, celebrity guest appearances, fireworks shows and giveaways.
The home opener for the Yard Goats, the Double-A Eastern League affiliate of Major League Baseball’s Colorado Rockies, is April 6 against the Bowie Baysox.
Among the celebrities who will make appearances at Dunkin’ Park this spring and summer are “Office” actress Kate Flannery (May 3) and actor John O’Hurley (Aug. 31), probably best known for portraying J. Peterman on Seinfeld.

The team, as it does every year, will also hold games that bring awareness to various causes and community initiatives. They include games recognizing the LGBTQ community; first responders; breast cancer awareness; and the military, among others.
The Yard Goats have also designated 13 dates, including July 4, for post-game fireworks.
