Aerospace manufacturer’s new Boeing deal will add work in West Hartford

Triumph Group Inc. announced a new deal with The Boeing Co. during the Paris Air Show this week that will bring more work to the aerospace company’s West Hartford facility, according to an announcement.

Pennsylvania-based Triumph Group Monday announced its Systems, Electronics and Controls business located at 1 Charter Oak Blvd., in West Hartford, has been awarded a multi-year contract from Boeing for its AH-64 Apache Environmental Cooling System. 

The terms of the deal were not immediately available.
According to information from Triumph Group, the system is comprised of multiple components and provides conditioned heating and cooling air for the Boeing’s Apache AH-64 crew stations and cooling air to the Extended Forward Avionics Bays.

Justin Wolfanger, president of TRIUMPH Systems, Electronics and Controls, said the company has been working with Boeing for more than two decades and has provided environmental control systems for more than 2,000 helicopters.
