Guilford land-use officials next month will be considering a proposal for a residential development with an affordable housing component.
The applicant, Connecticut Affordable Housing Initiative LLC, is seeking site plan approval from the Planning and Zoning Commission to construct a housing project consisting of two four-story buildings.
The property is known as 200 Hubbard Rd., Parcel B, and consists of four undeveloped acres. The site plan calls for a total of 100 dwelling units, with 50 in each of the two buildings. Of the 100 residences, 30 would be affordable, according to plans on file with the town.
A public hearing is planned for Wednesday, Dec. 1 at 7:30 p.m. via Zoom.
According to the Assessor’s office, the property owner, Hubbard Road LLC, bought the land in September for $665,000.
The property is near Interstate 95 in an industrial zone, and it is adjacent to an office building.
The principal of both the Connecticut Affordable Housing Initiative LLC and Hubbard Road LLC is James McMahon III, a Guilford resident with a business address of 129 Whitney Ave., New Haven, according to the Secretary of the State’s office.
