Amanda Garner is a strategic marketer with more than 16 years of experience helping to drive and deliver strategic marketing and communications that achieve value for local and national businesses.

As a marketing professional, Garner has a wide range of experience planning and implementing various types of campaigns and has considerable experience within the healthcare market.

She has provided integral leadership and customer growth for Mintz + Hoke and is a champion of her clients’ business.

What’s been your biggest professional accomplishment so far in your career?

I’ve used my passion, curiosity and business acumen to understand my client’s business — through both the macro and micro lens. I take most pride in helping my clients and peers continue to push the boundaries beyond what they think is possible within the constantly changing world of marketing and advertising.

How are you involved in the community?

I am a troop leader for Girl Scouts of Connecticut — inspiring girls to be confident and respectful leaders. I also volunteer in the annual Gabel Basket Brigade and have been helping to expand our community support in Connecticut as well as continued involvement with the United Way, Habitat for Humanity and Boys and Girls Clubs of Hartford.

What do you like to do outside of work?

I love to find ways to stay physically and mentally active, including spending time with my family and exploring different hiking trails in Connecticut. I also enjoy running, biking, golfing — anything outside!

What part of work life did you miss most during the pandemic?

People who know me know that I am a people person and being away from my colleagues and business partners has been very difficult. I truly miss having face-to-face conversations and connecting in-person.

Four reasons why you deserve to be a 40 Under Forty:

I’ve worked tirelessly with Mintz + Hoke leadership to achieve a significant increase in new business and organic growth.

I am a leader of young girls, helping them to better understand and harness their potential through Girl Scouts of Connecticut.

I am a huge advocate of Connecticut and always find ways to support local small businesses across the state.

I confront every challenge through hard work and determination, and find my biggest losses are my greatest learnings.

Fun Fact

My first job was delivering newspapers to 75-plus homes when I was 10 years old!
