Aroma Joe’s coffee franchise coming to Bristol

The New Hampshire-based coffee franchise Aroma Joe’s will open its first Connecticut location on Route 6 at 1235 Farmington Ave., in Bristol, the city has announced.

Aroma Joe’s - which has more than 70 locations in the Northeast - bills itself as offering the “finest gourmet coffee from the world’s best coffee beans.”

The Bristol location - which will open next month - will be a drive-thru site. In addition, the chain said it plans to open another site in Waterbury later in the year.

Bristol city officials said the new store will employ between 15 and 20 people, both full- and part-time. The expectation, the city said, is that the shop will be open daily 5 a.m. to 9 p.m.
