Autobody shop property in Stratford exchanges hands for $1.85M

A one-story autobody shop property, at 1860 Stratford Ave., in Stratford, has sold for $1.85 million, according to land records.
Mohammed Samrat, of New York City, doing business as Samrat’s Real Estate, LLC, has bought the 11,640-square-foot building from Leonard and Noreen Wisniewski, of Stratford, doing business as Atlantic Productions LLC.
Leonard Wisniewinski confirmed that Samrat owns and operates CARSTAR Xpress Collision at the property, which once housed a Napa Auto Parts store.
“He’s a very astute, well-mannered young man, and I think he will be very successful there,” Leonard Wisniewinski told the Hartford Business Journal.
Attempts to reach Samrat were unsuccessful.
The previous owners purchased the property for $675,000 in 2018, property records show.
The building, which sits on a 0.68-acre parcel and was built in 1968, was appraised at $770,900 and assessed at $539,630 in 2024.
