Back East Brewing Co. debuts kitchen next week

Back East Brewing Co. is set to open a new kitchen at its Bloomfield brewery, offering seasonal menu options featuring locally sourced ingredients, the beer maker announced.

The Kitchen @ Back East will open for business Jan. 10 at the brewery, 1296 Blue Hills Ave., Bloomfield. Head Chef Ben Nicholson, with more than a decade of local restaurant experience, will spearhead the effort and develop rotating seasonal menus using ingredients sourced from regional farms and businesses in the area, the brewery said.

Nicholson will also incorporate the brewery’s malt and hops into certain menu items to fully tie the culinary efforts with the beer options.

Back East has been in business for more than a decade after cousins Tony Karlowicz and Edward Fabrycki, Jr. in 2012.
