A Cheshire-based distributor of promotional products, Barker Specialty Co., has acquired a similar business headquartered in Monroe, the company announced.

Barker Specialty said the acquisition will give Wolfepromo clients access to additional resources, including on-premises warehousing, artwork services, on-site production, in-house kitting and global sourcing.

Financial terms of the deal were not released.

Barker Specialty, a family-owned business, was established in 1951.

Gerry Barker, president of the company, said Wolfepromo’s hyper-focused client experience will be a natural fit.

Recently, he told ASI Media that Barker Specialty’s 2024 sales, including revenue from Wolfepromo, will be about $30 million, according to an article published May 15.

Wolfepromo has been in business for more than 35 years and serves customers in Connecticut, Massachusetts and New York.

David Wolfe, managing partner of Wolfepromo, said he differentiated himself with the motto, “creatively disruptive!”

Wolfe will join Barker Specialty for a six-month transitionary period, ASI Media reported.
