Barnes Aerospace unveils new facility in Singapore

Bristol-based manufacturer Barnes Aerospace has opened a new repair facility in Singapore that will allow the firm to expand its presence in the Asia-Pacific region, company officials announced Wednesday.

Barnes’ new component repair facility is located in Singapore’s JTC’s Seletar Aerospace Park, where the company already has a presence. It will add to the company’s repair capacity in the region and its existing manufacturing footprint in Singapore.

The expansion includes additional working space, capital improvements and new equipment to support aerospace engine casing and other processes.

Barnes said the new facility will expand its overall footprint by about 50%. The company’s existing footprint in Singapore includes 51,000 square feet at the Loyang MRO facility and 140,000 square feet at our Changi North Crescent manufacturing facilities.
