Tell us a bit about your recent accomplishments.

Our recent accomplishments include the completion of 500,000-square-foot interior renovation project at Cigna’s historic Wilde Buildings, the new construction of CREC’s $84-million Ana Grace Academy of the Arts in Bloomfield, completion of the new $21-million South End Boys + Girls Club in Hartford, and the complete interior renovation of Stanley Black + Decker world’s headquarters in New Britain.

How has your company shifted its strategy during the pandemic?

We utilized our remote working and digital collaboration tools and bolstered our supply-chain resilience by securing long-lead items and identifying alternative suppliers. We’ve increased our investment in building a positive company culture to improve job satisfaction and collaboration.

Where do you see your business in the next five years?

BBE will continue to serve the needs of our clients while positioning the company to grow into emerging markets. We will recruit talent with the same dedication to excellence that has been the hallmark of the firm since its founding.

What are your family values and how do they contribute to your business success?

BBE’s family-owned values are the foundation to everything we do and we continue to carry with us the integrity, reliability, service and professionalism that have become the hallmarks of our business.

How do you plan to keep your business going even after your current top executive retires?

We will continue to train and groom individuals for leadership roles. We take the ‘long-view’ and plan for the future. The structure of the organization has been developed to allow for a seamless transition over a multiyear period when that time arrives.
