Best Places to Work 2023: 22. Access Health CT

Access Health CT is a health insurance exchange focused on reducing the uninsured rate and health disparities in the state. AHCT’s mission is to try to make sure residents have access to insurance and insurance-related products.

Employee Recognition: Employees can give recognition to those who go above and beyond in a “Values Shout Out.” They can also nominate a “Quarterly Values Champion,” by providing a write up on how an employee exemplifies company values. Birthdays, work anniversaries and other milestones are acknowledged at weekly meetings.

Fun & Relaxation: At least twice per year, family reunions are held during work hours. Outings have included a holiday celebration at a local restaurant and a gathering at Dunkin’ Park in Hartford.
