Bloomfield HES program raises $7k

Bloomfield's Home Energy Solutions resident participation program received $7,250 from their sponsors on Monday.
The program had four home improvement companies: Competitive Resources, Inc., Lantern Energy, New England Conservation Services, and Victory Energy Solutions, pledge to donate $75 to the towns fuel bank for every resident that signed up for an HES service between March 2012 and March 2013
The sponsoring companies made more than 220 assessments in the year and already donated $7,725 to the town in October, bringing the total amount raised through the program to $14,975.
The money raised will go to help Bloomfield residents with energy-related financial assistance.
