Bradley Airport teams with Travelers Aid International to launch concierge service

Contributed Bradley International Airport in Windsor Locks.

Whether you’re an older traveler in need of assistance, a first-time flier or just want to avoid hassles while getting from the car to the plane, a new service at Bradley International Airport aims to help.

Bradley and Travelers Aid International have partnered to launch a new concierge service for passengers, the Connecticut Airport Authority (CAA) said Monday.

The service, which began Monday, is available for booking and geared toward departing and arriving passengers who are traveling for either business or leisure, the authority said.

Cost for the service starts at $79.99, and advanced reservations are required.

Once the service is booked, a concierge team member will meet the passenger or passengers when they arrive at the airport and assist with the following:

  • Checking in at an airline ticket counter.
  • Going through the TSA security checkpoint via priority access.
  • Accompanying passengers to their gate.
  • Delivering food to the gate through BDL Market.
  • Retrieving checked bags, and
  • Assisting to/from parking, pick up or car rental.

The service is intended for anyone, including:

  • Older adults who may be traveling alone and need assistance.
  • Families with children.
  • First-time fliers.
  • Anyone with special travel needs, and
  • Individuals who want an elevated or personalized travel experience.

“This new concierge program at Bradley International Airport is offering travelers another layer of convenience,” said Kevin A. Dillon, executive director of the CAA. “The program is designed to make traveling through the airport truly easy, by offering personalized assistance and removing some of the unknowns that passengers may have about flying.”

Reservations with the concierge service are available at www.bradleyairport.com/concierge.
