Starbucks and Hartford gift shop Hartford Prints! are among eight new food and retail vendors expanding or adding locations at Bradley International Airport in Windsor Locks.

The Connecticut Airport Authority (CAA) on Tuesday announced the launch of a new concession program that will also add new kiosk units for La Familia Tacos + Tequila restaurant, Jamba Juice, Auntie Anne’s and Carvel.

Existing Dunkin’, Brooks Brothers and CNBC stores will also be expanded as part of the program. Gineva Jewelry will also be moved to a newly renovated kiosk.

Most of the new additions, financed by the new and existing vendors, will be located near gates 20 to 30. The hope is that the additions will improve the airport's concession experience, said CAA Executive Director Kevin A. Dillon.

“The vision to transform our concession program will result in a strategic blend of Bradley’s existing favorites, augmented by new, popular national brands and exciting additions of local flair,” Dillon said.

The new vendors mark another chapter of development for the airport, which has either announced, introduced or renovated 80% of its dining options since CAA was established to manage the airport in 2011, officials said. CAA last summer solicited applications from speciality-retail and food vendors interested in leasing redesigned kiosk units, and welcomed a Natalie’s Candy Jar store in recent months.

The announcement also represents a major expansion for Hartford Prints!, which debuted on Pratt Street in downtown Hartford over the last decade selling apparel, greeting cards, bags, jewelry, ornaments and other printed goods promoting the Capital City.

Its new store at Bradley will debut sometime this month, according to its website.

And again, nothing for people at the airport who are not flying and are prohibited from going through security to enjoy these new additions. The "drop offs" are a forgotten people.
