A former religious property in Branford has sold for $1.6 million.
The 77,470-square-foot Monastery of the Glorious Cross at 61 Burban Drive sold in April.
The buyer was 61 Burban Associates LLC, which is controlled by Joseph Iamunno, who has a North Haven business address at 66 Kings Highway.
The seller was the Benedictines of Jesus.
The property — which was built in 1979, sits on 6.36 acres, and has 44 surface parking spaces — was formerly home to nuns. It wasn’t immediately clear what the buyer plans to do with the property.
North Haven’s The Proto Group brokered the sale.

Branford apartments sell for $2.7 million
An 18-unit apartment complex in Branford has sold for $2.7 million, town records show.
The property at 78 Cedar St. sold in April for $148,611 per unit to 78 Cedar LLC, which is controlled by Maia Chiat and Sandor Seidman.
The seller was LZ Group LLC, which is controlled by Albert F. Ridinger Jr. and Randy Poxson.
The apartment complex was built in 1960, sits on 0.9 acres and has 23 surface parking spaces, according to CoStar.
Northeast Private Client Group was the listing broker, according to CoStar.
