Branford’s Action Sports building sold for $1.3M

The Action Sports building at 324 West Main St., Branford, has sold for more than $1 million.

Owner Paul Von Maffei sold the 15,250-square-foot building along Route 1 to Galaxy Real Estate and principal Robert Lavallee of Branford for $1.3 million in a deal recorded Oct. 6.

The store, built in 1970, sits on nearly two acres along the busy commercial stretch of Route 1.

It is home to the Action Sports bicycle and retail shop selling sports clothing and equipment.

More than a dozen Action Sports stores are located throughout New England, New York and New Jersey.

The Branford property has an appraised value of $856,000.
