Breeze Airways is debuting the Airbus A220 aircraft on 17 routes this year, including several from Bradley International Airport.

The company announced this month that Hartford travelers can expect to fly on the new aircraft on four routes beginning June 2. The announcement came after Breeze extended its open travel booking window through Sept. 6.

From Hartford, the A220 will fly to: Charleston, South Carolina; Columbus, Ohio; Norfolk, Virginia; and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

All A220-300 aircraft will be outfitted with technology allowing guests to stream movies and television and use the internet, Breeze officials said, including in-seat power and USB ports. The seating plan can be customized depending on the route or season, the company said.

According to information from the company Breeze Airways plans to have 15 A220s in service by the end of the year. Those aircrafts are typically used for longer flights including transcontinental service. The company previously agreed to purchase 80 of the aircraft over the next 6.5 years, with about one scheduled to be delivered a month.
