Breeze Airways today launched new routes at Bradley International Airport to two destinations along the eastern seaboard.

The low-cost carrier has added nonstop service to and from Daytona Beach, Florida, and Wilmington, North Carolina.

Service to both Daytona Beach and Wilmington will run on Thursdays and Sundays, starting today. One-way fares start at $39.

Breeze has been growing, nationally and in Connecticut.

In August 2024, Breeze added routes at Tweed Airport in New Haven, which is much smaller than Bradley.

“Hartford has been one of our fastest-growing bases literally since day one,” said David Neeleman, founder and CEO of Breeze Airways. “These two new great destinations will give the community even more affordable, yet elevated travel options now to more than 30 destinations from Bradley.”

Other airlines, including JetBlue, are planning to expand their service at Bradley. JetBlue plans to launch a new nonstop service from Bradley to John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York City

Earlier this year, Avelo Airlines, a low-cost carrier that competes with Breeze, suspended its flights from Bradley to Charlotte/Concord, North Carolina, saying the route “did not meet our expectations.”

Avelo also suspended flights from Bradley to Houston, Texas and Orlando/Lakeland, Florida, in December 2024.
