Burlington Stores to open new location in The Plaza at Buckland Hills

National discount retailer Burlington Stores Inc. plans to open a new store in Manchester this spring.
The roughly 30,000-square-foot retailer will occupy the former Big Lots space at The Plaza at Buckland Hills at 1470 Pleasant Valley Road. The commercial plaza, which contains Trader Joe’s and Petsmart, is located just west of the Shoppes at Buckland Hills.
Burlington Stores, previously known as Burlington Coat Factory, sells a variety of merchandise including clothing, shoes, accessories, beauty products and home goods, often at a discounted price.
The new store will bring the total number of Burlington Stores in Connecticut to 16.
Burlington Stores had more than 1,100 stores nationwide at the end of 2024.
Headquartered in New Jersey, Burlington Stores had $10.6 billion in net sales during the 2024 fiscal year.
