A California-based solar development company that has been active in the state recently purchased a 36-acre site in Marlborough.
The property, at 41-45 Hebron Road, sold in December to TA CT Holdings LLC.
The limited liability company is controlled by California-based TRITEC Americas, a company that has been actively trying to develop solar farms in the state.
In October, the CT Siting Council declined to approve a 0.999-megawatt solar facility the company planned to build in Manchester, according to published reports.
It’s not clear what TRITEC Americas plans to do with the newly purchased Marlborough property, which has two buildings on-site, property records show.
TRITEC did not immediately respond to an email request for comment on the purchase.
The seller was C & B Marlborough Associates, which originally purchased the property in 2005 for $2 million, records show.
C & B is controlled by Richard P. Baccari II, who lists a Providence, Rhode Island business address, state records show.
It wasn’t immediately clear what TRITEC paid for the property. Land records show the deal yielded $2,512.50 in local and $12,562.50 in state conveyance taxes.
