California insurtech latest buy in Insurity acquisition spree

In its fifth acquisition this year, Hartford-based Insurity announced today that it had completed the purchase of CodeObjects, a California company that offers cloud-based software services to property and casualty customers.
CodeObjects main product, InsuranceEnterprise, consists of a policy, billing and claims suite with configuration tools that simplify implementation and enable self-service. CodeObjects also sells an AI-powered virtual assistant, InsurBot.
“The CodeObjects acquisition provides an excellent addition to our robust suite of core system solutions and brings advanced AI technology that can drive additional value across our entire product portfolio,” said Insurity CEO Chris Lafond.
The acquisition was completed on Nov. 6, 2020 and the terms were undisclosed.
Insurity, headquartered in the Colt Gateway campus, provides cloud-based software and services to more than 300 property and casualty insurers. Last month Insurity acquired Westport-based Bill It Now for an undisclosed price.
