Glastonbury communications firm Cashman + Katz has said it has launched a public affairs agency that includes the former executive director of the Connecticut Republican Party.
Cashman + Katz will provide communications support for Octagon Strategy Group, a bipartisan and non-lobbying business that will have offices in Glastonbury, Boston and New York City. President and CEO Tony Cashman will be managing partner.
Political strategy will come from managing partners John Kleinhans and Andy Arens.
Kleinhans, appointed to his GOP post in January, resigned in June ahead of a leadership transition, according to the Connecticut Post.
Arens was formerly New England deputy political director for the American Israel Public Affairs Committee.
