CBIA elects new board members

CBIA, the state’s largest business organization, has elected 12 new members to its board of directors. The group represents a cross section of Connecticut’s business community including a range of industry sectors, sizes and geographical locations.

“There’s a sense of urgency here in the state to improve our business climate and to drive job and economic growth,” said Joe Brennan, president and CEO of CBIA. “We will look to this new group of directors to provide guidance, support, and direction as we work to do that.”

The new directors are:

  • Jennifer Morgan DelMonico, managing partner, Murtha Cullina LLP, Hartford
  • David A. DeMaio, president, Munger Construction Company, Inc., Branford
  • John Emra, state president, AT&T Connecticut, New Haven
  • Mary Kay Fenton, executive vice president & CFO, Achillion Pharmaceuticals, Inc., New Haven
  • Normand L. Forest, CEO, Dymotek Corporation, Ellington
  • Jeff L. Hubbard, New England regional president, First Niagara Financial Group, Inc., New Haven
  • Douglas N. Johnson, president, Marion Manufacturing Co., Cheshire
  • Kim A. Keck, senior vice president, Aetna, Hartford
  • Kenneth Lisk, president, PEP Lacey Manufacturing, Bridgeport
  • Rina Patel, site manager, Dyno Nobel Inc., Simsbury
  • Gregory Piazza, vice president & global account general manager, Computer Sciences Coporation, Norwich, Meriden, and Newington
  • Michael R. Wise, president & CEO, ConnectiCare, Inc., Farmington

The 50-member board will elect a new chair on Dec. 9 to succeed Donna Galluzzo, president of the Corridor Group. Galluzzo will remain on the board as the immediate past chair. The incoming directors begin serving their four-year terms on Dec. 1.
