Connecticut’s largest business lobby on Friday named 14 new members to its board of directors, including several from Hartford.
The Connecticut Business & Industry Association (CBIA) said its newest board members will begin serving four-year terms on Dec. 1.
The new members, who will play a critical role shaping the lobby’s policy agenda, serve at companies across the state such as Cigna, Barnes Group Inc., Voya Financial and ConnectiCare, among others, said CBIA CEO and President Joe Brennan.
"These individuals are among the state’s top business leaders and their experience will help us develop our policy agenda,” Brennan said. "The upcoming legislative session is pivotal to overcoming some of the economic challenges facing Connecticut, and I along with our entire board look forward to working with the new administration to engage the business community, helping to create solutions that will drive innovation, investment, and growth."
