Total Mechanical Systems donation helps fight against breast cancer

Employees from Total Mechanical Systems in Plainville recently visited Bristol Hospital and presented a $5,000 donation to staff from the hospital’s Community Breast Health Project, which aims to save the lives of local women by providing education, awareness and financial assistance to cover the cost of a mammogram.

ConnectiCare honors military families

During the Travelers Championship at TPC River Highlands Golf Course, ConnectiCare presented Operation Shower, a group baby shower for 40 military moms-to-be whose spouses are deployed. In addition, ConnectiCare also sponsored and staffed the Operation Recognize booth, which provided Travelers Championship attendees with an opportunity to take a photo or create a video message thanking United States troops for their service.

Day Pitney celebrates 100 years in CT

Hartford law firm Day Pitney LLP recently hosted a block party to celebrate its 100 years of legal services in Connecticut. More than 300 guests, including clients, alumni and friends of the firm attended the event. To mark the 100-year celebration, the firm donated more than 100 children’s bikes and helmets to local organizations, including the Boys and Girls Club of Hartford, YMCA Asylum Hill Child Care Center, Camp Courant and the Salvation Army of Greater Hartford.

Community Renewal Team hosts Tee-Off with Women golf tournament

The Community Renewal Team (CRT) recently hosted its 10th annual Tee-Off with Women golf tournament at Tunxis Country Club in Farmington. The event raised over $25,000 in support of CRT’s Women’s Empowerment Center, which is located on Market Street in Hartford.
