Connecticut Oncology Group (COG), with offices in Middletown and Westbrook, has finalized a partnership with Nashville, Tennessee-based OneOncology, a national platform for independent oncology practices.
COG, based at 536 Saybrook Rd No. 2 in Middletown, has four medical oncologists and three advanced practice providers. A fifth oncologist is scheduled to join the group in July.
The practice, which also has an office at 250 Flat Rock Place in Westbrook, offers infusion services and an in-office drug dispensing program.
While COG is partnering with OneOncology, it will also continue its relationship with Middlesex Health and Middlesex Cancer Center.
COG is the second practice in Connecticut to join the OneOncology platform; Eastern Connecticut Hematology and Oncology in Norwich joined in 2020.
OneOncology was founded by community oncologists. Its goal is to enable community oncology practices to remain independent and to improve patient access to care in their communities, at a lower cost than in the hospital setting.
It supports practices through group purchasing, operational optimization, data analytics, practice growth, and clinical innovation.
OneOncology now partners with 22 practices with 1,100 cancer care providers who treat approximately 750,000 patients at more than 400 sites nationwide.
