Construction will begin this week on a new assisted living facility in Bristol, the city and Senior Living Advisors LLC have announced.
The new KindCare Assisted Living facility will be located at 483 North Main St., at the corner of Route 6 and North Main Street. Construction on the 60,000-square-foot building is expected to last about 14 months and the facility will be ready for occupancy in the spring of 2023, the city said.
The financial costs associated with the project weren’t made public.
Officials said the five-story building is slated to feature 89 assisted living beds and 28 memory care beds.
City officials said the facility offers an affordable option for seniors.
“The KindCare project is a dynamic project on a long-vacant parcel that brings new jobs and additional tax revenue to the area,” said Justin Malley, Bristol’s executive director of economic and community development. “Most importantly, it offers a new, more affordable option for assisted living services for the community.”
Senior Living Advisors owns the KindCare brand.
