CT bank to close Orange branch

Stamford-based Patriot Bank has notified federal regulators that it plans to close a branch in Orange. 

The $1.2 billion asset bank is seeking approval from the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency to close a branch at 7 Old Tavern Road, in Orange. 

The branch held $29.6 million in deposits as of June 30, 2023, according to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. 

Patriot Bank currently has eight branches, including the one in Orange, which it acquired in 2018 following its purchase of Prime Bank. Prime Bank had only one branch at the time of the deal.
