CT Bar Association installs new leadership

The Connecticut Bar Association installed new officers for the 2017-18 bar year, effective July 1.

Karen DeMeola, assistant dean of students for the UConn School of Law, will be the bar’s 94th president. She succeeds Monte E. Frank, an attorney with Cohen and Wolf PC.

Other officers are: president-elect, Jonathan M. Shapiro, partner at Shapiro Law Offices LLC in Middletown and Stamford; vice president, Ndidi N. Moses, assistant U.S. attorney and civil rights coordinator for the civil division at the U.S. attorney’s office in New Haven; secretary, Alaine C. Doolan, attorney at Robinson+Cole in Hartford; treasurer, associate general counsel at Eversource Energy; assistant secretary-treasurer, Dana M. Hrelic, partner at Horton Dowd Bartschi & Levesque PC in Hartford.
