Connecticut's statewide single-family home sales in Connecticut fell by 3 percent in February, but their median price rose about 7 percent, a fresh report shows.
There were 1,688 houses sold last month, down from 1,741 sold in 2017, Boston publisher The Warren Group said Monday.
Meanwhile, single-family median home prices increased to $237,000 vs. $221,000 a year ago, which signals the largest year-over-year hike since Sept. 2013.
“The inventory of homes for sale is dropping in Connecticut and the tighter supply may be pushing up prices,” said Warren Group CEO Timothy Warren.
More than 3,800 single-family homes have been sold this year with a median price of $235,950, Warren said.
