CT Lottery to open new sportsbook in Bridgeport

Another sports betting facility is planned in Connecticut, this one at Bridgeport’s Total Mortgage Arena, according to an announcement from CT Lottery Corp., which will operate the facility.
The new 2,500-square-foot sportsbook, which will be open every day, is on the arena’s ground floor. Construction is expected to begin in the coming months.
"I applaud the efforts of the CT Lottery Corporation to establish a sportsbook location in Bridgeport,” Mayor Joe Ganim said. “The location at Total Mortgage Arena will complement the current Entertainment District attractions and will continue to attract Bridgeport residents and visitors to our downtown."
The Total Mortgage Arena is home of the Bridgeport Islanders AHL hockey team. The venue is used for sports, concerts and other events.
