Connecticut Surgery Center (CSC), which recently moved to Farmington, has sold its former medical-office building in Hartford's Asylum Hill neighborhood for $250,000, brokers say.
The real estate arm for the outpatient surgical facility in recent weeks sold the two-story, 15,000-square-foot medical office building at 81-83 Gillett St. to Abraham Deutsch, principal of Hartford's BH Property Management LLC, according to broker Colliers International.
Across Asylum Avenue from the St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center campus, the 34-year-old building has 40 parking spaces and office space that houses up to about 60 people, a property listing shows.
In early 2018, CSC confirmed it planned to move from its Hartford location of 30-plus years to a new 50,000-square-foot facility at 55 South Road in Farmington near UConn Health and other medical offices.
CSC is a joint venture between independent surgical specialists and Surgical Care Affiliates (SCA), which owns and operates multiple licensed surgical facilities in Connecticut and which became part of OptumCare, an affiliate of UnitedHealth Group, in 2017, state filings show.
