CT’s Aug. housing starts fell

Connecticut housing starts fell in August but were above their year-ago level, new Census data shows.

There were 313 permits issued in 104 communities the U.S. Census Bureau regularly samples and shares with the state Department of Economic and Community Development (DECD).

That’s down from 381 permits granted in July, but higher than the 295 issued in Aug. 2018, DECD said Wednesday.
