The operator of a statewide school bus and transportation services company has purchased a nearby multi-tenant light industrial building along Highland Avenue in Cheshire.
According to town land records, the building at 1187 Highland Ave. was sold for $1.6 million to KAD Cheshire Realty LLC and principal Donald DeVivo of New Britain, owner and CEO of DATTCO transportation services.
The 25,320 square-foot office and industrial building, built in 1969, sits on 2.3 acres in the Route 10 industrial corridor. It’s located adjacent to the DATTCO school bus yard and smaller offices on Sandbank Road.
The two-story brick building with garage bays has housed numerous tenants, including irrigation, HVAC, and glass companies as well as professional services such as website design and medical claims management office.
DATTCO officials could not be reached for comment.
The seller was Marshall Enterprises LLC in a deal recorded Oct. 23. The property was listed for $2 million and has a total appraised value of $1.1 million.
