A developer proposing a 10-lot residential subdivision in Meriden has received conditional approval to move forward with the project.
Akshay Patel, doing business as 196 Bee Street LLC, has submitted an application to Meriden’s Planning Commission to build the homes in three phases on a nearly 4-acre site at 196 Bee Street.
The site is currency grassy, with a basketball court, sidewalks and steep slope toward I-91, according to the project application.
The project would add a new public road — called Honey Lane — with sidewalks.
The lots will each be 11,250 square feet.
The Planning Commission on April 9 gave conditional approval to Patel’s site application by a 5-0 vote.
Patel lists a Middletown business and home address, according to state records. Besides Patel, 196 Bee Street LLC is controlled by Hiten Patel, of New Hyde Park, New York, and Pranay Patel, of Glen Oaks, New York.
