Diversified Group offering wellness programs virtually during pandemic

When the COVID-19 pandemic forced Diversified Group to work remotely, the third-party health plan administrator wanted to send the message to staff that their well-being was a priority.
That’s why the company continued its regular wellness programs, making fitness classes, meditation sessions and educational seminars available virtually. It also offered health coaching by phone, and hosted virtual challenges on their wellness portal.
Diversified Group also launched several new events during the pandemic that foster healthy lifestyles. Company officials say an on-site farmer’s market, which offered fresh produce from local farms, was among the most popular programs it rolled out.
The farmer’s market gave employees an opportunity to shop during working hours, and encouraged workers to eat fruits and vegetables over the course of a month. Employees meeting the challenge requirements were rewarded vouchers to spend at the market.
“I am thrilled with the fact that our program has continued to carry on throughout the quarantine and the adjustment to everyone working from home,” said Daniel Soucier, Diversified Group’s chief financial officer.
