Dobie + Rollins Orthodontics opens Hamden office

Orthodontics practice Dobie + Rollins opened its new office in Hamden earlier this month. 

The new office is located at 2600 Dixwell Ave, Suite 2A.

The practice offers services including braces, Invisalign, as well as pre-orthodontic observation. They also offer free orthodontic consultations.

The practice opened in 1990. Dr. Douglas Rollins started the practice wanting to do more than just fixing a smile, he wanted to create an atmosphere of friendship and humor for his patients. 

Dr. Thomas Dobie said that patients of all ages are welcome. The office is decorated to help add to the friendly environment. Dobie said there is a full arcade and shoes on display to help spark conversation.

“I wear my best pair and we talk about shoes all day,” he said.

There is also a full time DJ in the office from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. as well as full LED lighting on the ceiling that is connected to the DJ booth.

Dobie describes their practice as a fun experience where you don’t feel like you’re going to a dental office.
